A huge congratulations to Jemma Jenkins who has reached her 5-year Long Service milestone.
We caught up with Jemma to find out more about her time at OGL so far…
"5 years! Where has the time gone. It’s been a cracking 5 years – so many laughs along the way.
I joined, what was the ‘Software Account Management’ team in March 2019 like a deer in headlights! I came from a Business Manager position at a local primary school; new to sales, new to the world of software, not a clue what I was doing, I just knew I needed to leave the messy bureaucratic world of education.
With the support of Claire, Sam, Dani, Stace, Matt, Carl and James I soon found my feet and started to really enjoy the buzz of a successful sales floor! My husband is in sales too so slowly but surely things started to slip into place, and I became a little more confident; I soon created my own signature sales tune for when an order came in (if you know, you know!) and took great satisfaction in watching the team hit their targets, month upon month. It’s a real thrill and I’m genuinely so pleased for them and proud of how hard everyone works.
I’m chuffed to have been selected to join this team and its testament to them really that I’m still here – although a slightly different set up now.
Skip a few rough years of lockdown and so the Customer Success Team as it is today was born. Matt at the helm, I can’t thank them all enough for their patience with me, as some days I still call myself ‘the new girl’ as we all know in this industry, we’re learning all the time. Sarah, Amy, Alex, Lewis and Colin are such fun to work alongside each day. We’re incredibly busy, and no two days are the same, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. There are a LOT of internal jokes and I love being a part of that.
I’ve got so many good memories in my 5 years, we’ve had a lorra lorra laughs! Most are probably inappropriate for Blogle and revolve around the activities we now do as friends, not colleagues, outside of working hours, from parties, darts, bingo and more!
So, thank you for everything team, here’s to another 5 years!😘"
Jemma's manager, Matthew Meredith commented: “ ‘Jemma is everyone's go to in our team for many things, this shows how much everyone values and trusts her. Jemma is diligent and hardworking and completes her work with a smile and of course her quick wit. There is only one person that doubts Jem, and that’s Jem, which is only because she always wants to make sure everything she does is the best it can be! Thanks for everything Jem, here to the next 5 years.😊”
Claire Jones, Head of Sales added: "Jemma is an integral part of our customer success family, and we couldn’t do it without her. She is incredibly diligent, conscientious, hardworking (I could go on..) but more than anything she is positive, supportive and lights up the room to encourage everyone to do their best (even if it’s just to do their washing up 😉)!! Jemma takes pride in her work and makes a huge effort to welcome people to the team and celebrate in all the successes, she is a super ambassador for OGL, welcoming visitors and guests to meetings and is incredibly professional when dealing with customers over the phone and by email.
She really is protective over the ‘gang’ and makes sure everyone is responding, pro-active and giving customers the best service we can offer and has a great awareness of our commercial objectives.
