Our chosen charity for 2018 is St Richard's Hospice who are an independent, local charity who provides care for 3,000 patients and their families each year.
Earlier in the year, we announced via social media, that our chosen charity for 2018 would be St Richard's Hospice. St Richard's is an independent, local charity who provides care for 3,000 patients and their families each year. They are very active in the local community and organise a variety of fundraising events which we encourage our employees to take part in.
St Richard's is an independent registered charity, with a cost of £8.4m a year to run all their services. Three-quarters of their income comes from public donations, this includes gifts in Wills, one-off or regular donations, fundraising events and personal challenges, trading, legacies and grants from trusts and business sponsorship. The mission of St Richard's is, in partnership with other providers, to enhance, through specialist palliative and end of life care and education, the quality of life of patients and those important to them, suffering from life-limiting illnesses.
